Leopard Trails, Yala NATIONAL PARK
Leopard Trails Yala offers bespoke camping in one of most visited national parks in the country, successfully combining game experiences with modern day luxury, in traditional African style safari tents. Located on the fringe of Yala National Park, the camp has six large and very comfortable tents which consist of a sleeping area, private veranda and en suite bathroom with hot water showers. In addition, there are two larger luxury tents and all tents have air conditioning. A day at Leopard Trails begins with an early morning wake-up call with bed tea and a game drive in their customized jeeps, and excellent naturalists, many who have received their training in the African game reserves. Picnic breakfasts are provided on safari. Back at camp lunches are a delicious spread of rice and curry, followed by some down time, where guests can choose to take a siesta or laze in a hammock or hang out in the main lounge which contains a small library, until the afternoon game drive. Game drives, which begin at 3pm, take guests deep into the picturesque national park in search of its most famous residents, the leopards. Keep an eye out sloth bears, monkeys, sambar deer and wild elephants along the way. Afterwards, head back to camp for a sumptuous campfire dinner and drinks under the stars.
