Art & Architecture

Our art and architecture experiences give you a clearer picture of the island’s past and present, over a variety of landscapes and periods in its ancient and most recent history. From well preserved colonial offices, medieval temple ruins, and modern day dwelling-spaces, as well as works of engineering and works of art, each of these crafted experiences cover specific themes or focus on artists, artisans and architecture of Sri Lanka. These experiences might include a UNESCO World Heritage Site or two, the ever-changing Colombo skyline that meshes high rise skyscrapers which exist side by side with 16th century Dutch colonial period structures, the iconic and prolific works of Geoffrey Bawa, the understated Kandyan art scene or the ancient artisanal crafts of the country.
