This hill country itinerary is made with lovers of the great outdoors in mind. Get active on walking local trails, soaking in waterfalls and enjoying picnics under shady forests. Opt for a scenic train ride through spectacular tea country, and stay at a contemporary tea planter’s home, with views of the lake and tea fields that create the natural boundary. Stay on beautiful Koggala Lake in a romantic, designer boutique retreat on a 12 acre hill top estate, swim in the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean and visit Galle, a 17th century Dutch fort and a cosmopolitan vibe.

| Day 5 | Transfer by road to Ella and check into Nine Skies for 3 nights. Optional: Take the train from Hatton to Ella, which offers one of the most spectacular sections of the Main Line Railway, which runs through the Hill Country. |
