The journey ties in coastal, ancient towns, UNESCO World Heritage sites, game drives in Wilpattu for a less touristic, visually stunning lush landscape, secluded waterfalls and beautiful treks amidst untouched forest in Koslanda, lounging on one of Sri Lanka’s most brilliant beaches that open out to turquoise waters and sampling the island’s freshest seafood in Passikudah. Drive times may be a little longer, but are well worth the time spent on the road taking in equally beautiful scenery. Day 1 Arrive at Colombo Airport where you will be met and transferred the short distance to Negombo. Check into Jetwing Beach Negombo Jetwing Beach
Day 2 This morning travel to Sigiriya, in the Cultural Triangle. En route stop at Dambulla to visit the Cave Temples before checking into your hotel, Aliya Resort. Rest of day at leisure. Sigiriya Aliya Resort
Day 3 This morning head off early to climb Sigirya Rock Fortress, which is one of the most iconic sites in Sri Lanka. Sigiriya Aliya Resort
Day 4 Morning spent at leisure at the hotel.  Afternoon game drive at Minneriya National Park, which is famed for the great gathering, the largest gathering of wild elephants anywhere in the world. The best month for this is August. Sigiriya Aliya Resort
Day 5 This morning drive to Kandy where you’ll stay at Taylor’s Hill, located around 35 minutes from the centre of Kandy. En route visit the Temple of the Tooth. Kandy Taylor’s Hill

Day 13 This morning check out early for your drive back to the west coast, and head towards Wilpattu National Park, one of the largest and is arguably the most spectacular, parks in Sri Lanka. Day 15 Enjoy one final game drive this morning, before returning to camp for breakfast and check out.
