ITINERARY OVERVIEW

Day 1 On arrival in Colombo Bandaranaike International Airport you will be met and transferred the short distance to The Wallawwa, a beautifully converted old manor house surrounded by lush tropical gardens. Negombo The Wallawwa
Day 2 Check-out from your hotel and proceed to Sigiriya, en route stop at the Dambulla Cave Temples. Continue to Aliya Resort. Sigriya Aliya Resort
Day 3 This morning set off early to Pollonnaruwa where you will explore the ancient capital by bike.

Return to your hotel for lunch. Late afternoon take a guided hike from the hotel through a stretch of forest and up the adjacent hill for spectacular view from the top of Pidurangala overlooking Sigiriya. This is a challenging climb, without the steps you’d find at Sigiriya, and without the accompanying crowd as well.

Enjoy a sunset dinner with views of Dambulla and Kandalama reservoirs.

Day 4 This morning set off for Kandy by road. Check in at Clove Villa. This evening visit the Sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic for the pooja. Kandy  Clove Villa
Day 5 This morning set off early for a trek to the Knuckles mountain range with a hiking guide. . The mysterious Knuckles Mountain range – named after its likeness to a clenched fist – offers some of Sri Lanka’s most hauntingly beautiful nature trails. The area is home to 40 rural villages and a plethora of endemic wildlife, including some very rare species. The rugged terrain is almost always cloaked with a thick spectral mist that hangs low around the peaks year-round. The time trekking in the Knuckles with your guide, an outdoors enthusiast and knowledgeable naturalist, you are unlikely to see another soul along the way. Day 6 After breakfast travel to Kithulgala and stay 3 nights Borderlands.

Borderlands’ camp is perched on the banks of the Kelani River and consists of tents, rustic wooden cabins and chalets built on stilt platforms covered with thatched roofs. The camp is located amongst untouched wilderness and has spectacular views of the mountains. Borderlands Sri Lanka is a reputable adventure tour company with much experience in conducting outdoor activities across the country. It follows strict international safety guidelines and emphasis on nature conservation.

Afternoon at leisure where you can take a dip in the Kelani River or just relax in the Long House.

Day 9 Check out from your hotel and transfer to Nuwara Eliya and check into Stafford Bungalow.
Explore the city, with its distinct British colonial era atmosphere.

Day 10 An early start, pre sunrise, this morning to visit Horton Plains National Park. Take a 3-4 hour hike to see World’s End which has the most fantastic views, as the plateau drops off over 880 meters to the valley below. The hike is a circular walk, passing Baker Falls on the return.  An early start is necessary to avoid the cloud which comes in mid morning.

Optional visit this afternoon to a tea plantation and factory.

Day 12 Today, you will have an opportunity to experience a second safari during your morning jeep safari of the Udawalawe National Park.
Check out from your hotel and transfer to Sinharaja Forest Reserve.

Day 13 In the morning take a trek through the shaded paths of Sinharaja Rainforest, which has been designated a Biosphere Reserve and UNESCO site. Check-out from your hotel and transfer to Bentota. Bentota Rock Villa
